Nandamuri Balakrishna wraps Dubbing For ‘Akhanda 2′

The hitmaker duo of Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Sreenu is gearing up to recreate their magic once again with the much-awaited sequel Akhanda 2 – Thaandavam. Putting an end to all the speculation, the film’s production house 14 Reels Plus has officially confirmed that the movie will release in theatres on September 25, 2025.

The news was attached along with a viral image of Balakrishna and Boyapati in the dubbing studio, revealing that the actor had finished his dubbing portions. With only one song still left, the final shooting portion will likely end soon. Also, there is a lot of activity in post-production and VFX work for the film, as the team is racing to meet the release date.

The buzz around Akhanda 2 – Thaandavam intensified after it was revealed that the film will go head-to-head with Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s OG, which is also eyeing a September 25 release. While some speculated that one of the films might step aside, sources close to the team clarified that Akhanda 2 had secured this date well in advance and has been following a disciplined schedule from the beginning.

From a trade perspective, this showdown is going to be monumental. With both stars boasting immense fan bases and strong theatrical pull, the opening day collections will likely be divided — turning this into one of the most talked-about box office battles of 2025.

Although OG has started its promotions officially by releasing the first audio single, Akhanda 2 has yet to kick off its musical campaign. Further fueling anticipation, both soundtracks are composed by S. Thaman, and I’m sure they will be compared at some point.

As we get closer, September 25 will potentially be one of the most explosive dates at the Tollywood box office for high-octane entertainment, record numbers, and fan havoc.
