Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh seems to be on a mission to infuse fresh blood and encourage youngsters so that it will have a strong foundation for the coming years when Nara Lokesh takes up the mantle as many of senior leaders including Chandra Babu Naidu are in the twilight of their political careers. The preference for young blood in key posts was clearly evident when Naidu inducted many youngsters and first-time MLAs into the cabinet.
Now, another dynamic young leader Lavu Krishnadevaryulu, who won as Member of Parliament from Narsaraopeta Loksabha constituency, has been named as Telugu Desam Parliamentary party leader ahead of the upcoming parliament sessions starting from this 24th. Naidu entrusted him with the responsibility during Saturday’s meeting with all MPs who won in the recent elections.
Previously, Srikakulam MP Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu held the post of TDPP leader. As he was inducted into Modi’s cabinet as Civil Aviation Minister, Naidu decided to bring another youngster in his place. Among the few young leaders, Lavu Krishnadevaryulu was chosen because of his clean image.
Despite the fact that Lavu Krishnadevaryulu defected from YSRCP, he holds strong credentials in public which is one the reasons why Naidu gave him Loksabha ticket this time. He is well educated and good natured politician who never behaved like remaining YSRCP leaders. He played an instrument role in obtaining permissions for Varikapudisala project and also laid the foundation for Indo – Israel project in Nakarikallu.
Lavu Krishnadevaryulu thanked Naidu and Lokesh for having trust in him and handing over a prestigious post. He promised to fulfil his obligations as an MP and assured to work for the development of the state.
