Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala tied the knot in a traditional South Indian wedding on Wednesday, December 4, in Hyderabad. The grand yet intimate wedding ceremony took place at Annapurna Studios, adding sentimental value as the wedding was the first major celebration following the unveiling of ANR’s statue.
The couple married in a South Indian tradition, reflecting their cultural roots. Sobhita looked radiant in a gold Kanjivaram silk saree, adorned with gold Zari, while Naga Chaitanya donned a classic South Indian outfit, featuring a white kurta and dhoti with a red border. Many celebrities like Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh Daggubati, Rana Daggubati, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, and many more attended the grand ceremony.
Nagarjuna Akkineni shared the first pictures of the bride and groom from the wedding ceremony. Welcoming Sobhita into the family, Nagarjuna penned an emotional note, saying, “Watching Sobhita and Chay begin this beautiful chapter together has been a special and emotional moment for me. Congratulations to my beloved Chay, and welcome to the family dear Sobhita—You’ve already brought so much happiness into our lives.”
He also added, “This celebration holds even deeper meaning as it unfolds under the blessings of ANR garu’s statue, installed to mark his centenary year. It feels as though his love and guidance are present with us in every step of this journey. I thank the countless blessings showered upon us today with gratitude.”
Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita got engaged in August this year, and the announcement was made by Nagarjuna then on his X. The pre-wedding festivities began in the last week, performing all the rituals like Raata Sthaapana, Mangalasnaanam, Haldi ceremony, Pelli Koduku, Pelli Kuthuru, and finally culminating in their union on December 4.
