Prayagraj: Monalisa Bhonsle, a 16-year-old girl, emerged as a major attraction at the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. Adorned with traditional beads, she quickly became an internet sensation after her images and videos went viral. Enthusiastic visitors thronged to capture photos and videos with her, leading to overwhelming crowds that eventually disrupted her presence at the event.
Following the increasing attention, Monalisa’s father decided to withdraw her from the venue. However, by that time, her popularity had already soared on social media platforms, making her a widely recognized figure.
In a significant development, Monalisa has signed her debut Bollywood film, The Diary of Manipur, directed by Sanoj Mishra. The filmmaker personally visited her residence in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, to discuss the project with her family and obtain formal consent.
Ahead of the film’s production, Monalisa will undergo acting training in Mumbai. Additionally, reports indicate that Amit Rao, brother of Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao, will also be part of the project.
