MLC seat confirmed To Pawan Kalyan’s Brother Nagababu

Both Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan have decided to field Pawan Kalyan’s elder brother and Jana Sena’s key leader K Nagababu as candidate of the coalition parties in the MLC elections from MLAs. The notification was issued for election to five seats on Monday.

Soon after the issue of the notification, Pawan Kalyan went to Chandrababu’s chamber in the AP Assembly and they discussed MLC polls and other government programmes together for an hour.

It may be recalled that Nagababu name was earlier proposed for Rajya Sabha elections, but due to pressure from the BJP, he was unable to contest.

At that time, Chandrababu Naidu announced that Nagababu will be inducted into the cabinet. As now, MLC polls are being held, he is likely to be inducted into the state cabinet after his election as an MLA. Already, Chandrababu has reportedly agree to give one MLC seat to the BJP. The remaining three seats will be contested by the TDP.

Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan also expressed his views on the allocations to various departments in the state budget with the Chief Minister and stated that funds have been allocated in a balanced manner for development and welfare schemes in the budget. They also discussed the Mataliku Vandanam and Annadata Sukhibhava schemes to be launched from May.

Pawan explained to the CM that most of the road works have been done through the Panchayat Raj department and that more attention has been paid to drinking water supply. They also discussed the need to generate more funds for the state through the employment guarantee and undertake large-scale works.

Pawan suggested that priority be given to job creation in the state. Chandrababu explained to Pawan that he was thinking of attracting investors, after the previous government scared away investors and was making a strong effort to attract them. He said that they are talking to investors with the aim of employment and job creation.
