Minister Ponnam Prabhakar slams BJP state chief on 42 %BC Reservations

Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has expressed his anger at BJP state president N. Ramachandra Rao’s comments that 42 percent reservation for BCs cannot be brought into the 9th schedule. He criticized him for once again exposing the true colors of the BJP towards BCs. He made it clear that an increase in 42 percent reservation for BCs is possible.

“Ramachandra Rao has once again exposed his true colors. He says that it is impossible to include BC reservations in the 9th schedule. Reservations have been increased in the neighboring state of Tamil Nadu. Therefore, an increase in 42 percent reservation for BCs in the state is possible”, he asserted.

Minister Prabhakar has demanded that BJP MPs elected from the state should resign. If the MPs resign, he challenged that they will see why BC reservations are not implemented. He urged that the Center should immediately take a decision on the increase in BC reservations. If injustice is done to the BC communities, he warned that they will not sit idly by.

Meanwhile, Congress leader and government whip Aadi Srinivas said that a strict caste census was conducted for 42 percent reservation for BCs. He said that they have proven their sincerity on BC reservations. Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, he lamented that the BJP is doing injustice to BCs by using minority reservations as an excuse.

He made it clear that it is the central government that should be included in the 9th schedule. He criticized that the BJP has no right to question CM Revanth Reddy’s sincerity on BC reservations. Aadi Srinivas alleged that BJP Telangana president Ramachandra Rao is against BC reservations.
