Minister Ponnam Prabhakar Outlines New Ration Card Issuance And Indiramma Housing Plans For Hyderabad

Minister Ponnam Prabhakar announced that priority will be given to landowners in the selection process for Indiramma housing beneficiaries in Hyderabad. The minister reiterated the state government’s commitment to providing homes to every poor person, emphasizing that incomplete double-bedroom houses across the state will be completed and allocated to eligible beneficiaries.

On Sunday, Minister Prabhakar chaired a review meeting at the GHMC headquarters with local officials, MLAs, and MLCs, focusing on the beneficiary selection for Indiramma houses and the issuance of new ration cards. He stated that field-level inspections for new ration card applications would take place between January 16 and 20. From January 21, data entry for eligible applicants will begin, with new ration cards set to be issued starting January 26. The minister also assured that new ration cards and Indiramma houses would be provided to migrants from districts who have moved to Hyderabad.
