Telangana Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy had a heated argument with the Karimnagar Collector. He spoke in a way that insulted her in front of Union and State ministers, without even considering her as a woman Collector.
Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy lashed out at Collector Pamela Satpathi, asking if she had any `common sense’. The Collector felt insulted and remained silent till the end of the program. Another minister Ponnam Prabhakar also expressed his impatience towards her as even the ACP was not available when Union and State Ministers were visiting.
The incident took place during Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s visit to Karimnagar on Friday. The Union Minister inaugurated digital classes and uninterrupted water supply at the government school in Karimnagar’s Park and Housing Board Colony.
During the scuffle, the Minister Ponguleti suddenly became impatient when he saw Collector Pamela Satpathi walking from nearby. “What is this, water are you doing.. Don’t you have a little common sense.. Where is the SP?” he asked in anger.
The Collector was stunned by this development. Another Minister Ponnam Prabhakar also joined him and showed his anger towards her. Expressing impatience against the Collector without even considering her as a woman became a topic of discussion.
Even when the ministers went to bid farewell to the ministers after the meeting, the two Telangana ministers left without paying attention to the collector. During this visit, many officials were shocked as the Minister Ponguleti expressed extreme impatience with Collector Pamela Satpathi.
He became serious looking at the collector’s face. Local MP and union minister of state Bandi Sanjay Kumar was also present. The two state ministers became serious about the arrangements that had been made during their visit.
District minister Ponnam Prabhakar blamed her for `poor arrangements’ when as many as four ministers, including two union ministers visited the city. A video of Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy abusing the Collector is going viral on social media.
