Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Dr Ponguluri Narayana said that he is planning to provide loans of Rs 8,000 crore to 80,000 Dwcra groups in the future. However, he said that the relevant data should be correct for the real beneficiaries to receive any scheme from the government.
The Minister said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is making plans with the aim of having a entrepreneur in every household by 2047. He said that presently there are only 13 MEPMA Project Directors in the state, and Project Directors will be appointed in all 26 districts. With this, he is hopeful that those currently in those responsibilities will get promotions.
Dr Narayana said that steps will be taken soon to resolve the demands of employees working in the MEPMA department. He attended and addressed the state-level Women’s Business Development Action and Planning Workshop held under the auspices of MEPMA at the Amaravati Convention in Vijayawada as the chief guest.
Minister Narayana stated that the state government is working to create one lakh women entrepreneurs within a year. The Minister launched the MEPMA website and said that since he became the minister, he has asked the officials whether the data is correct or not. Because only if the data is correct can we do anything for the people, he added.
He said that the government can make new policies for them only if it knows who and how many people there are. Minister Narayana recalled that CM Chandrababu Naidu had said that one entrepreneur should come from every household.
He said that we are all working in accordance with the aspirations of Chief Minister Chandrababu. He said that we are moving forward in accordance with the goals of Swarnandhra 2047. The Minister is confident that one lakh women will be made as entrepreneurs in a year.
