Minister Narayana Asserts Amaravati Is The safest city, Buildings will Be completed In Three years

Municipal Administration Dr P. Minister Narayana has once again asserted that Amaravati is the safest capital and ongoing construction activity will be completed in three years. He warned that the people will not forgive those who are spreading false propaganda by saying that graphics show that no work is actually being done in Amaravati.

He advised those who are spreading such propaganda to come to the field level and see the situation. He inspected the buildings of Gazetted Officers Type-1, Type-2 and Group-D employees under construction in Nelapadu in the capital on Wednesday. Presently, 13,000 employees and workers are working continuously on the Amaravati works.

Also, about 2,500 excavators, JCBs and other machines are working. The minister said that the work has regained momentum as the rains have also subsided.  In the Gazetted Officers Type-1 buildings, 384 flats in 4 towers, each measuring 1800 sq ft, covering an area of 9.62 lakh sq ft, are being constructed at a rapid pace.

In the Type-2 buildings, 336 flats in 4 towers, each measuring 1500 sq ft, covering an area of 7.4 lakh sq ft, are being constructed at a rapid pace.

On the other hand, for Group-D employees, 720 flats in 6 towers, each measuring 900 sq ft, covering an area of 10.2 lakh sq ft, are being constructed at a rapid pace, the Minister said. The construction of 1440 houses covering a total area of  27 lakh square feet has almost reached the final stage.

The slab work is almost complete, while the rest will be completed by November. The construction of the sewage plant is also going on rapidly. The minister said that all the buildings are going as planned to be completed by the end of March. He said that 50 percent of these houses will be completed by October 2, but they will be handed over to the authorities only after all the construction is completed.

Dr Narayana said that they have designed a flood control system in Amaravati with the help of Dutch experts. He said that canals and reservoirs are being constructed without any flooding in Amaravati.
