Minister Nadendla Manohar Asks Ration Dealers Distribute Through Alternative channels In case of Any Technical Issue

State Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar has made it clear that in case of any technical problems, the distribution of goods should be done through alternative channels without any hassle to the cardholders. He said that service camps have been set up in every district for the repair of e-POS and weighing machines.

The minister suggested that all should be fully prepared for the distribution of goods through ration shops by taking advantage of these. In Vijayawada, Minister Manohar held a review meeting with the collectors and district supply officers in the state through video conference. He called on dealers to be ready to distribute essential commodities through ration shops from June 1 as per the decision of the coalition government.

He said that the government will distribute goods through ration shops to ensure that there is no room for any irregularities in the public distribution system. He asked ration dealers to serve cardholders with respect and the premises of ration shops should be kept clean. He advised that goods should be distributed with proper measurements, prices and stock boards should be set up.

Minister Manohar directed that every shopkeeper should ensure that the e-POS weighing and scale machine is functioning properly. Manohar revealed that ration distribution will be done at home for the disabled and those above 65 years of age. He asked them to take the initiative to provide ration to the disabled and the elderly at home between the 1st and 5th.

He advised that information should be provided through the WhatsApp group from time to time to ensure that the cardholders do not face any problems. Earlier, Minister Manohar inspected the low-cost depots in Tenali ofGuntur district. He inspected the rice mills, machines and fingerprint machines. He warned that action will be taken if dealers indulge in irregularities at the ration shops. He said that even though the MDU vehicles have been removed, ration will be provided to the elderly and disabled at their doorsteps.
