Minister Konda Surekha, who made controversial comments on Naga Chaitanya- Samantha’s divorce, that attracted legal complications and also all-out condemnation, is now embroiled in another controversy. When her followers were arrested, she herself went to the police station and gave a warning to the police protesting against the arrest of her followers.
Moreover, she was sitting in the chair of the Sub Inspector, who was standing with folded hands, which she was scolding him. The behaviour of the minister led to more controversy, pushing the ruling Congress party into an embarrassing situation.
A dispute broke out on Sunday between followers of Minister Konda Surekha and Parakala MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy at Dharmaram in Geesugonda mandal of Warangal district. In celebration of Dussehra festival, Prakash Reddy followers expressed anger as Konda Surekha’s followers in Dharmaram did not include Revuri’s photo in the flexi. The flexi was destroyed.
Enraged by this, Konda Surekha’s followers attacked the people of Revuri. The people of Revuri filed a complaint with the police about this attack. Geesukonda police arrested three people, who are followers of minister Konda Surekha. Protesting this arrest, her supporters staged a dharna on the Warangal- Narsampet main road demanding the release of the three arrested men.
Konda’s followers called off the dharna after CI Mahender promised them to resolve the issue. Meanwhile, Minister Konda Surekha expressed her anger over the arrest of three of her followers by Geesukonda police. As soon as she came to know about this, she herself went to Geesugonda police station.
There, the Minister sat on the chair of the SI and got into an argument with the police. She asked why her followers were arrested. Her followers flocked to the station in large numbers as they came to know that the minister had arrived.
As the matter became serious, Warangal CP Amber Kishore Jha also reached there immediately. On this occasion, Minister Konda Surekha expressed anger against CP. On this occasion, Minister Konda Surekha demanded that Warangal CP Amber Kishor Jha immediately relieve the DSP, CI and SSI from their responsibilities.
