Minister Kollu Ravindra Targets Perni Nani Over Land Scam Allegations

Andhra Pradesh’s political environment is heating up as several YSR Congress leaders face legal troubles, including arrests and criminal cases. Former minister Perni Nani and his family have come under intense scrutiny following allegations of distributing fake land titles in Bandar. Responding to these charges, Perni Nani has filed for anticipatory bail at the High Court. In the meanwhile, he met party activists, stoutly denying any role—personal or of his son—played in the land title scandal. At this meeting, he also attacked Minister Kollu Ravindra, adding to the political heat.

In response, Minister Kollu Ravindra hit back strongly, warning that Perni Nani will not escape accountability for his alleged misdeeds. Ravindra accused Nani of exploiting the people for years and now trying to portray himself as innocent. He even called out Nani for attempting to sell the Bandar port back in 2006. Ravindra raised questions about how land titles were issued in 2024 by a Tahsildar who was transferred only a year earlier in 2023. He also criticized the neglect of thousands of TIDCO houses, questioning Nani’s claims of caring for the underprivileged.

Further intensifying the matter, Ravindra pointed out that courts have consistently ruled against issuing land titles on Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) lands, suggesting that Nani’s actions went against legal norms. He condemned Nani’s efforts to win public sympathy and stressed that the law will take its course without leniency. Additionally, Ravindra accused Nani and his associates of buying lands at inflated prices under housing schemes and pocketing illegal commissions, thereby cheating the public.

With the altercation between these two powerful leaders growing, political analysts are eagerly waiting to observe what legal and political fallout will happen. The standoff between Kollu Ravindra and Perni Nani is fast becoming a major issue in the politics of Andhra Pradesh.
