The internet war between Mega fans and Allu Arjun fans isn’t something new—it’s been simmering for years. It all started back with the controversial “Cheppanu Brother” incident during the DJ event, a statement that stirred controversy and split fans down the middle. Since then, the tension has increased, with Pushpa 2 serving as the new arena for fan wars.
Most Mega fans have blamed Allu Arjun for deliberately shying away from mentioning his uncle, Megastar Chiranjeevi, as if he wants to go solo without giving credit to family. But Allu Arjun’s die-hard fans claim otherwise, insisting that he has always admired and respected Chiranjeevi, even though he doesn’t show it publicly each time.
But at the latest Waves Summit 2025, Allu Arjun raised the issue in the most forthright manner.
During an on-stage open discussion, he was asked by someone about the people who inspired him the most. Without batting an eye, Allu Arjun pointed to Megastar Chiranjeevi, attributing personal and professional inspiration to his uncle as one of the biggest inspirations in his life. His emotional statements drove the audience to raucous applause and the video clip went viral instantly on social media winning hearts among fan circles.
This wasn’t the first time Allu Arjun showed his respect for Chiranjeevi. Back during the unfortunate Sandhya Theatre incident linked to Pushpa 2, he personally visited Chiranjeevi’s home to explain what had happened. The two posed for a photo together, symbolizing unity despite public speculation. Though they hadn’t been seen together in public since then, Allu Arjun’s statement at the Waves Summit sent a powerful message.
