Chandrababu Naidu government is making elaborate arrangements to host a mega Amaravati Drone Summit-2024 at Mangalagiri CK Convention on October 22 and 23. Suresh Kumar, Secretary, Department of Investments and Infrastructure and Dinesh Kumar, MD, AP Drones Corporation, launched the logo and website of the Summit on Sunday. A hackathon also will be organised at Vijayawada on this occasion.
The government is expecting that as many as 5,000 likely to take part in the drone show to be held on this occasion, the biggest ever participation in the country. So far, not more than 2,500 drones participated anywhere in the country.
Suresh Kumar said that the summit is being held in such a way as to achieve CM Chandrababu’s goal of making AP a drone capital. Dinesh Kumar said that issues to be discussed at the summit include drone technology- use and challenges and the new technology to be brought in drones.
He said that proposals have already been taken from all the government departments in which departments drones can be used to get better services. It has been revealed that the design of these will be discussed in the summit. He said that all the drone manufacturing companies and drone manufacturing experts across the country will participate in the summit.
Those with to take part in the summit can do free registration till 15th of this month on Amaravati Drone Summit website. He said that a hackathon is also going to be organized in Vijayawada as part of the summit. On 22nd of this month, a drone show will be held in Vijayawada Baram Park with 5000 drones.
People can watch the huge drone show for free. It has been revealed that special cash incentives will be given to those who make advanced service drones. The first prize for selected drones is Rs. 3 lakhs, the second prize is Rs. 2 lakhs and the third prize will be Rs. 1 lakh.
