Mega hero Varun Tej’s upcoming film ‘Matka’ is getting ready for release on November 14th. The makers unveiled the first look teaser this Saturday afternoon and it promises a gripping period drama inspired by real-life incidents with Varun Tej in four distinct looks.
The two minute teaser takes us into the world of ‘Matka’ which traces the rise of a notorious gambler who defies all odds and emerges as the kingpin in the underworld mafia during the 1950s to 1980s. The teaser is brilliantly cut to show the different shades of Varun Tej and hints that there is plenty of drama and emotional content from the onset.
Varun Tej shines in multiple shades, sporting different looks with impressive makeover and dynamic screen presence. The story is set in the backdrop of Vizag and it deals with the rags to riches story of a spoiled brat who turns into a gambling gangster in a dramatic manner.
The teaser begins on an interesting note with the voiceover of Sai Kumar. He says a powerful dialogue on how majority of the money in circulation is owned by a single person with several other struggling to earn the remaining portion.
