Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh and Mines and Excise Minister Kollu Ravindra inaugurated the Masula Beach Festival – 2025 after inaugurating the ‘Gateway of Amaravati Iconic Tower’, set up at the entrance of the beach. Later, they unfurled the national flag set up at a height of 100 feet. A large number of tourists flocked to the beach festival. This beach festival will be held for 4 days.
Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh said that it is the responsibility of the government to develop Manginapudi Beach as a tourist destination. He said that they are doing the Akhanda Godavari program and are developing Suryalanka Beach with Rs. 97 crore.
It was revealed that the Union Tourism Minister has promised to provide 5 projects for the development of the tourism sector in the state from this financial year. The Minister assured that Machilipatnam beach will be included in those 5 projects.
Minister Kollu Ravindra commented that he is proud to organize such a big festival at Manginapudi beach and this is the biggest festival in South India. He said that he is taking steps in line with the ideas of CM Chandrababu Naidu for the development of tourism.
He was angry that the beach festival was organized in 2018 with great pomp but the previous rulers destroyed it. He expressed anger that they were even prevented from entering the beach. He said that the first step has been taken through this assembly for the development of beach tourism in the state.
Minister Kollu said that steps have been taken through this festival to transform Bandar as the Gateway of Amaravati. He said that the assembly model in Amaravati has been arranged to entertain the festival goers.
He revealed that many arrangements have been made during the 3-day festival, including adventure sports, paragliding, beach kabaddi, beach volleyball, kayaking. The minister said that all the flavors of the country are going to be provided in one place. The minister assured that the government will support those who come forward to set up hotels and resorts.
Former TANA president Komati Jayaram said that he was born here and that he belongs to Krishna district. He said that if tourism develops, this area will get recognition. He hoped that Machilipatnam beach would develop as a tourist hub. He assured that he would contribute his share to the development of Machilipatnam tourism.
