Manchu Vishnu’s dream project Kannappa is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious mythological films in recent Telugu cinema.
The final cut of the film is now finished, with a total runtime of 3 hours, 2 minutes, and 51 seconds. While this is much longer than most commercially prepared films, they thought it would be better to keep the full emotional weight of the story, instead of cutting it down—choosing depth over brevity.
One of the biggest highlights of the film is the cameo of pan-India sensation Prabhas, who essays powerful Lord Rudra. Manchu Vishnu has confirmed that Prabhas will be seen after interval, with a major 20-minute screen time in the second half — a news that has already created humongous buzz among the fans.
Even with a longer runtime, the team is confident Kannappa will engage viewers with its solid storytelling, visuals and strong spirituality. The teasers and posters of the film have generated strong buzz, and Vishnu’s emotional speech at the pre-release event made social media audiences cry tears of joy.
Kannappa Releasing in—Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. With Hollywood production values and music from Stephen, Kannappa is an amalgamation of action, drama and spirituality on film.
