Mahesh Goud says Congress Government Is Now paying Interest on Dues Incurred During BRS Regime

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President B. Mahesh Kumar Goud said that now the Congress government is now paying interest on the dues incurred when the BRS was in power. He said that people are laughing at the campaign being done by the BRS calling it a Congress dues card. Will it be called a dues card if the promises made before the elections are fulfilled?, he asked.

Goud said that with the BC reservations, it has once again become clear that only the Congress can keep its promise and the implementation of BC reservations is a proof of their sincerity. He criticized that the BRS-BJP are doing samsara together and both the parties are criticizing the government together.

“If we talk about the dues, the first accused will be BRS chief and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao”, he said. He said that the campaign by the BRS calling the Congress dues card is like the recitation of Vedas by demons. “You who have turned Telangana, which is a surplus state, into a pile of debts, are not even qualified to utter the word “dues”. If the dreams of the unemployed are fulfilled, is it a debt?”, he wondered.

Mahesh Kumar Goud asked how many people were given Dalit Bandhu when BRS was in power? Is it a debt to provide a gas cylinder with a subsidy of Rs 500? Provide free electricity up to 200 units, increase Arogyasri to ten lakh rupees?, he asked. Is it a debt to waive off loans to farmers, provide farmer assurance, and give a bonus to paddy as promised?, he wondered.

The TPCC chief criticized the BRS for running a Nawab’s rule and destroying Telangana. He confidently said that his party candidate would win a landslide victory in the upcoming by-election to the Jubilee Hills constituency. He asked why BJP leaders are not talking about BC reservations? He said that he hopes that the High Court verdict on BC reservations will be positive.
