S.S. Rajamouli has teamed up with Superstar Mahesh Babu for an epic adventure film, tentatively titled SSMB29. This pan-India project has already generated sky-high expectations, despite no formal announcement yet.
Even without a technical update, on-the-ground action is progressing. While there was a brief recess for filming during a short lull, the principal cast and crew took vacation time. Priyanka Chopra, who features prominently in the movie, traveled back to America, while Rajamouli traveled to Japan.
Mahesh Babu decided to relax in Rome with his family, and an unplanned video of him at the airport—showing his passport to photographers—quickly went viral, generating a buzz among fans on social media. Now that his break’s over, the actor is back in Hyderabad and is said to be all set to rejoin the sets.
Industry sources say that the second schedule of SSMB29 would start shortly. Vijayendra Prasad, who has written it, the film is reportedly going to be a high-octane forest adventure with a cracker of a story. Even the cast, which already consists of many noted stars, now includes noted Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran in an important role, thus lending more oomph to this already packed cast.
On the music side, the industry’s favorite M.M. Keeravani has scored the film. The film is being produced by K.L. Narayana under the banner of the famed Durga Arts with a huge budget and international production standards.
An A-list star cast, a director with vision, and a gripping concept, SSMB29 is already one of the most promising Indian movies to be made right now.
