Suspended Endowments Department Assistant Commissioner Kalingiri Shanti’s husband, Madan Mohan, has levelled serious allegations against YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy, claiming the MP misappropriated land worth ₹1,500 crore in Visakhapatnam using his wife’s influence. Madan Mohan further alleged that his recent transfer from Hyderabad to Kolkata was orchestrated as retaliation for exposing these illegal activities.
During a Praja Darbar meeting held at Undavalli, Madan Mohan appealed to Minister Nara Lokesh for intervention. He accused Vijayasai Reddy and advocate Subhash of manipulating his wife, Shanti, to seize large tracts of land extending from RK Beach to Bheemili in Visakhapatnam.
Madan Mohan also alleged that between 2022 and 2023, Vijayasai Reddy deceived him into moving to the United States, during which time he cohabited with Shanti and fathered a child. Despite submitting petitions to the President, Prime Minister’s Office, State Home Minister, and DGPs, Madan claimed he had yet to receive any response or justice.
Seeking a resolution, Madan urged Lokesh to order a DNA test to determine the paternity of Shanti’s child. Additionally, he accused Shanti of acquiring disproportionate assets worth over ₹20 crore during her tenure, including:
– A ₹4 crore villa in Kunchanapalli,
– A ₹3 crore house near Jagan Mohan Reddy’s residence,
– A triple-bedroom flat in Visakhapatnam’s Sagar Nagar,
– Multiple luxury cars.
Madan Mohan demanded a thorough investigation into the alleged land-grabbing activities involving Vijayasai Reddy, advocate Subhash, and his wife Shanti. He also appealed for his transfer to Kolkata to be reversed, allowing him to return to Hyderabad.
In response, Minister Nara Lokesh assured Madan Mohan that he would discuss the matter with higher authorities and ensure appropriate action is taken to deliver justice.
