In a new turn of events, the Andhra Pradesh Police have put out a Look Out Notice against former state minister Kodali Nani, with a view to stopping him from traveling abroad while several criminal investigations are pending. The notice has been electronically distributed to all international airports and seaports in India.
The move comes amid widespread speculation about Nani’s travel plans, especially following his recent heart surgery in Mumbai. Reports suggested that the former minister may be planning a trip to the United States, prompting swift action from law enforcement to block any such attempt.
Police officials suspect that although Nani doesn’t hold a passport registered in Andhra Pradesh, he might have acquired one through an address in Hyderabad. This has been enforced as a cautionary step to ensure his availability for ongoing legal inquiries.
Adding to the urgency, TDP’s State Executive Secretary K. Srinivas formally lodged a complaint with the Director General of Police (DGP), urging close monitoring of Nani’s movements and requesting that his passport be seized to prevent any overseas travel.
The case is currently being handled by Krishna District SP R. Gangadhara Rao, who is reviewing the legal cases filed against Nani and verifying his passport details.
