Lokesh Vows to Make Mangalagiri a Model Constituency, Distributes House Site Pattas

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics Nara Lokesh has reiterated his vision to transform Mangalagiri into a national model for development, stating that public cooperation is key to achieving this goal. As part of the ‘Mana Illu – Mana Lokesh’ program, he distributed house site pattas to residents of Penumaka, Undavalli, and Ippatam villages at an event held in the Don Bosco School grounds, Yerrabalem. Lokesh highlighted that issuing pattas at the place of residence was a long-cherished dream of the people and expressed pride in fulfilling this within ten months of coming to power. He outlined a phased distribution plan, with 3,000 pattas being issued in the first phase, followed by allocations to residents on endowment, railway, forest, and irrigation lands in subsequent phases.

Reflecting on his 2019 defeat, Lokesh said the decision to contest from Mangalagiri had reshaped his political journey, and despite the loss, he remained committed to the constituency’s welfare. He noted several welfare and development initiatives taken up since, including free medicines through NTR Sanjeevani, tailoring training for women, establishment of sports grounds, and telemedicine services during COVID. Lokesh also announced the upcoming launch of underground drainage, water supply, and gas pipeline works from June, as well as plans to develop the Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple and crematoriums under the Maha Prasthanam project. He credited his recent record majority win for enabling swift approvals in government, including the green signal for a 100-bed government hospital, with the foundation stone to be laid on April 13.
