The pre-release event of the much-awaited pan-India film Kuberaa was held on Sunday, with prominent names from the film industry gracing the occasion. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sekhar Kammula, the film stars Nagarjuna, Dhanush, and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. The event saw celebrated director S.S. Rajamouli attend as chief guest, while anchor Suma hosted a lighthearted yet engaging interaction with the team.
During the conversation, Dhanush expressed his desire to work with Telugu actor Pawan Kalyan and spoke about life’s challenges, saying, “If you earn ₹150, you’ll face ₹200 worth of problems. Earn ₹1 crore, and the problems multiply to ₹2 crore.” Asked about what remains even without money, he replied, “Mother’s love.” He also admitted he doesn’t know how many times the word “Kolaveri” appears in his famous song.
Rajamouli, responding to who the true ‘Kuberas of love’ in the industry are, humorously pointed to Suma, stating, “You treat everyone with affection like family. I don’t know if I should call you Kuberi or something else.” He shared that his first earning was ₹50 as an assistant editor, though he couldn’t recall how he spent it.
Rashmika Mandanna noted that she admires Nagarjuna’s charm, Dhanush’s versatility, Allu Arjun’s swag, and “everything” about Vijay Deverakonda. Nagarjuna, when asked what qualities should be avoided to earn money, said, “Greed and laziness.” He also advised the younger generation to “stop constantly looking at your phone.”
Director Sekhar Kammula described being “happy” as the true definition of wealth and hailed Dhanush as the “Pride of India.” Kuberaa, produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd, is set for a worldwide theatrical release on June 20 in five languages.
