KTR slams Telangana BJP MPs, Union Ministers Mum over Hyd Metro-2 project

BRS Working President KT Rama Rao expressed his anger at the Centre’s neglect of the Hyderabad Phase 2 Metro Expansion Project proposals. He deplored that there are two ministers from Telangana in the central government and there are 8 BJP MPs keeping silent over this project.

He asked them what are they all doing? Who are they working for? He wondered that Bullet trains are being given to Gujarat with Rs. 2 lakh crore, but shouldn’t Telangana at least be given a metro project?

Meanwhile,  KTR lamented the Congress government in the state for the rope breaking at Gate No. 9 in the Jurala project as a clear proof of negligence. He alleged that the Jurala project was in danger because the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who could not even lay a single brick, could not even manage the project.

He alleged that the Revanth government’s apathy in carrying out maintenance work at the spillway is clearly visible despite knowing that floods occur every year. He said that the Chief Minister and ministers should not be sleeping soundly for now as the flood situation in Jurala is gradually increasing.

KTR expressed his concern that the SLBC tunnel has already collapsed due to the incompetence of this government, and eight people have lost their lives in the air. He also said that 16 villages have been flooded due to the collapse of the Peddavagu, the Wattem pump house has been submerged, and the Sunkishala retaining wall has collapsed, causing hundreds of crores of rupees in damage.

He said that now the rope of gate number 9 of Jurala has broken, along with the weakness of the ropes of other gates, which has put the project in danger. He cautioned that the government should immediately alert the people of the downstream areas and take precautionary measures by constantly assessing the increasing inflow from above. He suggested that precautionary measures should be taken to prevent any damage to the Jurala project.
