BRS Working President KT Rama Rao challenged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy that if he writes that 100 percent loan waiver has been done in any village in the state, all BRS MLAs will resign.
Speaking at the farmers’ meeting organized in Shabad, Ranga Reddy district on Friday, he ridiculed Revanth Reddy and asked Delhi people to give power to Congress to uplift them to repeat what he has fulfilled six guarantees in Telangana within 100 days. But, KTR said among six guarantees only half of one, free bus travel to women was fulfilled. He recalled that some people are complaining that there is no bus route to their villages.
Stating that in villages if a person does not return the debt people will file a case against them. But, he said Congress cheated people on several accounts. KTR recalled that he asked Revanth Reddy in the assembly that let us go to his own village Kondareddypalle or Kodangal, if all villagers say their loans were waived, he will not only resign as an MLA, but also quit from politics. Otherwise, he asked the Chief Minister to let us go to any other village in Telangana and ask people about loan waiver.
Moreover, KTR said that Revanth Reddy promised to give Rs 15,000 to farmers under Rythu Bandhu, but not a single rupee has been given so far, even after more than a year. He recalled that at the time of elections KCR was ready to give Rs 7,600 crores for Rythu Bandhu, but it was Revanth Reddy, who stopped it by writing a letter to the Election Commission.
KTR said that they are holding dharnas protesting that the Revanth Reddy government is not giving Rythu Bandhu to farmers even though the monsoon season is completing and farmers are in need of investments. He warned that they will stage dharnas all over the state demanding the state government for implementation of Ryhtu Bandhu. He also said they will insist the government give Rs 15,000 under Rythu Bandhu, as per the promise given by Revanth Reddy during elections.
