KTR Criticizes Telangana Government Over Inaction In Jainoor Sexual Assault Case

BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has responded to the recent incident in Jainoor Mandal, Komaram Bheem Asifabad district, where an auto driver named Shake Magdum allegedly attempted sexual assault on an Adivasi woman. KTR attributed the rise in security issues to the lack of a full-time Home Minister in Telangana, expressing frustration over the incidents occurring in Jainoor.

In a tweet on X, KTR condemned the destruction of property during the violent acts in Jainoor as unfortunate. He criticized the state government’s response, accusing it of attempting to merely placate the situation by offering a compensation of ₹1 lakh to the victim while failing to address the severity of the issue.

KTR called for immediate action from the state government to restore peace in Jainoor, ensuring better medical care for the victim and stringent punishment for the accused. He also urged support for those who lost homes and businesses during the unrest. He pointed out that the recurring security problems are a direct result of the state being managed without a full-time Home Minister for the past nine months.
