BRS Working President KT Rama Rao strongly accused the Hyderabad city of being hampered by Hydra’s antics and asked whether Hydra had the guts to demolish the house illegally built by CM Revanth Reddy’s brother Tirupati Reddy in Durgam Cheruvu FTL? He was furious that Hydra, which is demolishing the houses of the poor, is not going to the elders.
Speaking at party key workers meeting of Serilingampalli constituency, KTR expressed his grief that a woman named Buchamma committed suicide in Kukatpally fearing that Hydra would demolish her house. He accused Hydra of working only for the blackmail of Congress leaders.
KTR recalled that the Prime Minister Modi himself had said that they were beating the stomachs of the poor, threatening builders and collecting money in the name of RR tax. KTR asserted that during the ten years of BRS, leaders have never touched real estate, encroachments or hooliganism. But he accused Congress leaders of creating anarchy in the name of Hydra within 20 months.
He accused them of demolishing the houses of the poor without paying attention to the court order. He criticized that while BRS had borrowed Rs 2.85 lakh crore in 10 years, Revanth Reddy had borrowed Rs 2.20 lakh crore in 20 months. He claimed that KCR had built 42 flyovers, state-of-the-art hospitals and sewage treatment plants in Hyderabad with that debt, but Revanth had not built a single new bridge or morgue.
KTR asked what Revanth, who had borrowed Rs 2 lakh crore, had done if KCR had put Rs 70,000 crore in the accounts of 70 lakh farmers? He asked what Revanth had done if the KCR government had increased the pension from Rs 200 to Rs 2000? KTR said that during the 10 years of KCR’s tenure as Chief Minister, the state has made a leap in development with development on one side and welfare on the other.
He recalled that in 2014, BRS had only two MLAs in Greater Hyderabad. Stating that KCR had transformed Hyderabad into the heart of Telangana, he said that is why the people of the city voted for the pink flag instead of the Congress winning a single MLA seat in 2023.
