BRS Working President Kalvakuntla Tarakarama Rao alleged that the Congress party is trying to win Jubilee Hills by-election with `Vote Chori’ (stolen votes). He submitted a petition on the fraudulent votes, duplicate votes and other irregularities in the voter list of Jubilee Hills constituency. Later, he spoke to the media at the office of the State Chief Electoral Officer along with senior party leaders.
He alleged that the Congress party is trying to win the Jubilee Hills by-election in every possible way and he was angry that all the state ministers are involved in the Jubilee Hills constituency and are abusing their power. At a time when MLAs of their own party are writing letters to the World Bank and newspapers saying that they have no money, he wondered that huge funds are being allocated here.
KTR was angry that the government is trying to deceive the people once again. He said that he has given a representation to the state chief electoral officer on the Congress party’s attempt to register fake votes in Jubilee Hills constituency along with such abuse of power. He alleged that the Congress party had registered at least 50 fake votes each in 400 election booths, thus over 20,000 fake votes in Jubilee Hills constituency. He said that each person had three electoral identity cards.
According to him, they were registering three votes with the same address and each person had two or three voter IDs. Moreover, he said that the same person had been registered multiple times by changing the lowercase letters. He said that every issue they were raising was taken from the Election Commission website. He demanded that the Election Commission should determine how many more votes there are?
KTR wondered that 150 to 200 votes were registered in each house. When they went to look at the houses, he said they found that there were hundreds of cases where more than 100 votes were registered in a single small house. He said that 15,000 votes were registered in this way even without addresses.
