Kondareddipalli, the native village of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, is poised to become Telangana’s first village to operate entirely on solar power. This initiative, aimed at setting a precedent for solar-powered residential areas, has seen the state government officially kickstart the process in Nagar Kurnool district.
In alignment with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s vision, a team of officials conducted a comprehensive door-to-door survey in the village today. The delegation included TGSPSDC Chairman and MD Musharraf Farooqui, Nagar Kurnool District Collector Santosh, Redco VC and MD Anil, Director K. Ramulu, and other senior officials. They engaged with local residents, farmers, and public representatives to discuss the details of this pilot project.
The village comprises approximately 499 residential consumers, 66 commercial consumers, and 867 agricultural consumers, totaling 1,451 users across various categories. The ongoing survey aims to determine the solar power capacity required for the village. A Detailed Project Report (DPR) will be developed based on the survey results, guiding the subsequent phases of the project.
