In a trailer launch event for Geethanjali Malli Vachindi, Kona Venkat was asked about the sequel to Srinu Vaitla’s comedy thriller ‘Venky’. The producer answered the query by stating that he was unsure about the sequel to Venky but expressed his ultimate desire to do the sequel to Adhurs. He mentioned that he would put up a tent and go on a hunger strike in front of NTR’s house to convince the actor to say yes to the sequel and to make Adhurs 2.”
Additionally, he praised the actor by saying, “There is no actor in the Indian film industry to do the role like NTR. That character, that modulation, that grooming—no one can do that role like NTR did. The film Adhurs stars Jr. NTR in a double role and Nayanthara and Sheela Kaur as the female leads. The film also stars comedy star Brahmanandam, and the scenes with him are hilarious and highlights of the film.
