Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has made it clear that the authorities will take strict action against the accused in the Lagcharla incident in Vikarabad district, irrespective of their influence or position. He emphasized that there will be no hesitation in applying the PD Act to those responsible for the attack. Reddy also criticized the previous government for filing cases against Dalits and BCs in relation to the Mallanna Sagar project, accusing them of misusing power. He strongly condemned the assault on the Collector, who was conducting a public survey, calling it a serious offense.
In response to the attack on the Collector, Minister Reddy called on Chief Minister KCR to take immediate action, including issuing a public apology. He confirmed that an investigation is underway and expressed concern over BRS leaders allegedly supporting the attackers. Reddy also revealed reports that KTR had been in contact with the accused, vowing that the investigation would be thorough and no one, regardless of their status or position, would be spared if found involved. He assured that the government would take decisive action based on the findings.
Minister Reddy also accused the BRS and KTR of engaging in opportunistic politics, trying to garner sympathy by playing on the possibility of imprisonment. He stated that the government would not delay in applying the PD Act to those responsible for the attacks. Addressing the Formula-E car race controversy, Reddy said that if the Governor grants approval for a money laundering probe, the accused should face arrest. He further alleged that KTR’s visit to Delhi appeared to be an attempt to seek protection and avoid legal consequences.
