Kishan Reddy Slams Rahul Gandhi, Criticizes Congress Governance In Telangana

Union Minister Kishan Reddy launched a sharp attack on AICC leader Rahul Gandhi, questioning his caste identity. He alleged that the Congress government in Telangana was following the same path as the previous BRS regime and accused both parties of being two sides of the same coin.

During his visit to Warangal on Sunday for the MLC election campaign, Kishan Reddy criticized the Congress government, likening its governance to a “blind bull running in a field.” He accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of relying solely on rhetoric and stated that the state was witnessing deteriorating conditions. The BJP supports caste-based census, he affirmed, while demanding that the Chief Minister first engage in discussions with caste-based organizations before proceeding with the proposed 42% reservations.

No Viable Iron Ore for Bayyaram Steel Plant, Says Kishan Reddy

Addressing the Bayyaram steel plant issue, Kishan Reddy clarified that the iron ore in Bayyaram lacks the required quality, dismissing claims that the BJP had ever promised a steel plant in the region. He accused the Revanth Reddy-led Congress government of attempting to divert public attention from its failures.

Kishan Reddy further criticized the Chief Minister for making baseless allegations and mocked his frequent visits to Delhi, claiming he was attending “roll calls before the Congress high command.” He warned that the BJP would not remain silent if derogatory remarks were made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asserting that no amount of distraction tactics would make Telangana’s people forget Congress’s unfulfilled promises.

Congress Faces Rising Public Dissatisfaction

The Union Minister predicted growing discontent against the Congress government, stating that its MLAs would soon find it difficult to face the public. He recalled that anti-incumbency sentiments had led to the downfall of the BRS government and claimed that Congress was now heading in the same direction.

He accused the Congress of neglecting its poll promises, resulting in widespread dissatisfaction. Comparing both regimes, he noted that while it took a decade to unseat the BRS government, Congress had managed to accumulate public anger in a much shorter time. Kishan Reddy also alleged that former CM KCR had attempted to suppress the opposition by weakening the Legislative Council and expressed concerns that the current Congress government was following a similar approach.
