Union Minister Kishan Reddy has lamented Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for putting aside the implementation of promises and making allegations against the BJP. He advised the Chief Minister that it is not good to resort to diversion politics without implementing promises. He strongly condemned the Chief Minister’s accusations against him and the central government alleging discrimination towards Telangana.
He alleged that the Chief Minister made such baseless accusations only to cover up the opposition to the Congress rule in the state among all sections of people and to divert the attention of the people. He demanded to know what happened to the promise of giving Rs. 2500 per month to women and 2 lakh jobs by December?
He advised that it is not right for a person at the level of the Chief Minister to speak vulgar words. Kishan Reddy reminded that many letters have been written to the CMs to implement central schemes effectively in the state. He demanded that Revanth Reddy tell him how the Union Cabinet will approve in three months the expansion of Hyderabad Metro, when it takes 10 months for the state cabinet?
Kishan Reddy clarified that he is committed to the promise of removing religious reservations and including them in SC, ST and BC. He said that in the previous letter written to him by Revanth Reddy, he demanded that funds of Rs. 1,66,569.31 crore be sanctioned. The Union Minister wondered that the central government has never sanctioned such a large amount of funds to any state.
Moreover, Kishan Reddy asked the Chief Minister that has the central government given any assurance on these projects anywhere? Has Revanth Reddy asked centre’s clearance before keeping them in their party manifesto?
“Just by telling lies, the opposition to the Congress will not decrease. There is a policy in providing funds to the state from the Centre. We have already explained the works worth Rs. 10 lakh crore undertaken by the Centre in the state. I am a person who wants the development of the state regardless of the CMs”, he said.
He made it clear that the Congress government is responsible for implementing the promises it made. But, he wondered that they are blaming the BJP for the implementation of their promises.
