After assuming office as Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu initiated a comprehensive administrative restructuring to enhance efficiency and transparency. This restructuring involved the transfer of 21 IAS officers, as directed by Chief Secretary Neerabh Kumar Prasad.
Notable changes included the reassignment of officials associated with the former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy. Y Sri Lakshmi, Rajat Bhargava, Praveen Prakash, Vivek Yadav, and Harijawahar Lal were transferred to the GAD without specific postings.
Surprisingly, some officials who held key positions during the previous Chandrababu regime and later aligned with YS Jagan’s regime, despite facing severe allegations, were given significant postings.

- G Sai Prasad, IAS (1991), Chief Commissioner of Land Administration, is now Special Chief Secretary to the Government, Water Resources Department.
- Shashi Bhushan Kumar, IAS (1996), has been appointed as Principal Secretary to the Government, P.R. R.D & RWS Department.
- Budithi Rajsekhar, IAS (1992), now serves as Special Chief Secretary to the Government (Agriculture, Sericulture, Cooperation & Marketing), Agriculture & Cooperation Department.
- Anil Kumar Singhal, IAS (1993), has been transferred to Special Chief Secretary to the Government, MA&UD Department.
- Gopal Krishna Dwivedi, IAS (1993), now holds the position of Special Chief Secretary to the Government, Labour, Factories, Boilers & Insurance Medical Services Department.
- Siddharth Jain, IAS (2001), has been appointed as Commissioner, Civil Supplies & E.O. Secretary to the Government, CAF & CS Department.
- Saurabh Gaur, IAS (2002), is now Secretary to the Government, Higher Education Department, and also holds additional charge of Principal Secretary to the Government, Skills Development Department.
- Kona Sasidhar, IAS (2003), has been transferred to Secretary to the Government, School Education Department.
- A. Babu, IAS (2003), now serves as Secretary to the Government (Horticulture, Aquaculture, Fisheries), Agriculture & Cooperation Department.
- Bhaskar Katamneni, IAS (2004), has been appointed as Commissioner, APCRDA, in the MA&UD Department.
- Pradyumna P.S., IAS (2004), now serves as Secretary to the Chief Minister.
- M. Janaki, IAS (2005), is now Secretary to the Government (Expenditure), Finance Department.
- M.M. Nayak, IAS (2005), has been appointed as Secretary to the Government, Animal Husbandry & Dairy Development Department.
- Pravin Kumar, IAS (2006), now serves as Commissioner & Director, Mines & Geology.
- The Joint Collector & Additional District Magistrate, Tirupati, has been assigned additional responsibilities.
- D. Muralidhar Reddy, IAS (2006), has been transferred to the General Administration Department for further posting.
- Vadarevu Vinay Chand, IAS (2008), now serves as Secretary to the Government (FP), Finance Department.
This restructuring aims to streamline operations and enhance accountability within the government administration under the leadership of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
