Key Accused In Madanapalli Files Burning case, Peddireddy’s Aid Tukaram Escaped To USA

Key accused in the Madanapalli Sub-Collectorate files burning case and close associate of YCP leader and former minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Muni Tukaram is avoiding police and believed to be escaped to USA. The police failed to arrest him till now.

There are criticisms that no steps have been taken to bring Tukaram, who went to the USA on a tourist visa, back home.  Tukaram worked as an unofficial PA for Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, when he was in power. In fact, he is a retired teacher. After retirement, he joined Peddireddy as a private secretary.

He has allegedly played a key role in clearing up illegal affairs. Tukaram is also A4 in the Madanapalle Sub-Collectorate files burning case that created a sensation in the state. Fearing that he would be arrested due to the seriousness of the case, Tukaram approached the High Court on December 10 last year for anticipatory bail.

In the meantime, he had fled the country on a visitor and tourist visa. Officials told the court that Tukaram had fled to Missouri in the US when senior assistant Gautam Teja, who was A1 in the Madanapalle file burning case, was arrested. On July 28 last year, CID officials and police inspected Tukaram’s house on Mangalam Road in Tirupati and seized several records. No progress was seen after that.

Police believe that Tukaram has taken refuge in the house of his relative Pasupuleti Rammohan, who lives in the US. Those who have gone abroad on a visitor and tourist visa have to return within a maximum of six months. That period expired in January. But surprisingly the police are not taking any steps to bring Tukaram back home.

If Tukaram is arrested and interrogated, more of Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy’s land deals and irregularities are likely to come to light. The CID has already given key details about Tukaram’s role in the Madanapalle document burning case to the Chittoor Fourth Additional Judicial Magistrate Court.

The CID report explained that before the previous YSRCP government issued orders to freehold the assigned lands, Tukaram came to the Madanapalle Sub-Collector’s office and took the details of the freehold lands, including survey numbers, with the help of the then RDO Murali.

Based on the call data, CID officials have confirmed that A3 Madhav Reddy A4 Tukaram had contacted them 331 times over the phone from July 1, 2023 to October 17, 2024. There is strong criticism that the CID officials are counting the Pisces and Aries on the arrest of Tukaram, who played such a crucial role.
