Keshava Rao, Mayor Vijayalakshmi too joins Congress!

Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the BRS party under the leadership of KCR is facing a series of setbacks. After the assembly elections, BRS party MPs, MLAs and leaders are leaving the party one by one. Migration from BRS to Congress and BJP continueing.

Moreover, these two parties accommodated several BRS leaders by fielding them as Congress Lok Sabha candidates, after their migration. Now, BRS Parliamentary party chief and close associate of KCR K Keshava Rao is reportedly getting ready to leave the party.

His daughter G Vijayalakshmi, who is Greater Hyderabad Mayor is also reportedly ready to accompany her father. The speculations got momentum after Congress state affairs in-charge Deepadas Munshi met senior BRS leader K Kesha Rao on Friday.

Deepadas Munshi along with Chief Minister’s advisers Vem Narender Reddy and Khairatabad DCC President Rohin Reddy went to KK’s residence in Banjara Hills. Both of them discussed prevailing political scenario for about 40 minutes.

Greater Hyderabad Mayor Gadwala Vijayalakshmi was also present in this meeting. It is reported that they have been invited to the Congress party. The meeting of Congress leaders with KK has gained political importance at a time when intense exercise is going on for the selection of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections.

Keshava Rao was a former Congress leader too. This meeting took place a day after AICC announced key BRS leaders as Congress Lok Sabha candidates. They are, Chevella sitting MP Ranjith Reddy, Vikarabad Zilla Parishad Chairman Sunita Mahender Reddy and Khairatabad MLA Danan Nagender.

It seems that Keshava Rao, who was the president of PCC in the past, now has a chance to return to his home. But it is noteworthy that KK said that he is not changing the party. However, there is a possibility that this will be clarified soon. On the other hand, Mayor Vijayalakshmi said that she will discuss with her supporters before taking a decision.
