Former Chief Minister and BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao asserted that the BRS only has been protecting the aspirations of the people of Telangana from the beginning and can provide political protection and welfare to this community.
He held a preparatory meeting with the party’s top leaders on Friday at his farm in Erravelli as BRS decided to organise a massive public meeting in Warangal on April 27, as part of the silver jubilee celebrations of the party.
KCR said that the dissatisfaction among the people in the Telangana society has once again become clear due to the 14-month Congress government rule. He said that we achieved Telangana after decades of struggle and sacrifices, and then for 10 years we maintained the governance in our own state as an ideal for the country with great vigilance.
He expressed his concern that the Telangana society, which has achieved such great progress, is being deceived and resented today. He clarified that the silver jubilee celebrations being held in such a context are not limited to the BRS party alone, but that the entire Telangana society has a stake in it.
“BRS party is a political party built by the people of Telangana. It is the party of the people of Telangana and people consider it their own home party. People are facing many difficulties today. They believe that the BRS party is their salvation”, he said.
KCR said that the people who believed in the guarantees and promises made by the Congress before the elections have come to know the true nature of the state government today, and are ready to join the Brahmarath of the party whenever the elections come.
Meanwhile, it was decided to increase the participation of youth and women in the party. It was felt in the meeting that any party or government at the center has been working against the Telangana society from the beginning. In this context, the meeting felt that the party should be strengthened in the state and constantly vigilant about developments in national politics.
There was a discussion on the issue of the lack of party representation in the Parliament, which is affecting the rights of Telangana. It was decided in the meeting to make the people understand this issue better and to create awareness among the people towards ensuring BRS MPs are represented in Parliament and protecting the rights of the state.
