Kavitha’s Attempts To Join Congress Failed, several BRS MLAs Also Ready To Join Congress!

After creating a storm in BRS with her letter to father and party chief KCR, BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha’s attempts to join Congress are said to have failed. She has reportedly sent signals to the Congress leadership through some emissaries. When Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and PCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud were in Delhi for three days recently, the Congress high command brought Kavitha’s proposal to their attention.

But, Congress sources say that they both felt that it was not advisable to include her in the current situation. The sources explained that if Kavitha is included in the party, it would send a wrong signal that the Congress is responsible for the KCR family feud.

Congress sources say that several more BRS MLAs, who are worried over recent developments within the party are also approaching Congress. At the same time, the Kaleshwaram Commission has issued notices to KCR and Harish Rao regarding the Medigadda barrage collapse. Both will also appear for the inquiry.

Now, the ACB has once again issued notices to KTR in the Formula E car race case. The investigation in the phone tapping case is also intensifying. This case is also going to be around the neck of the BRS elders. Even though a year and a half has passed since the elections, there is concern among the BRS MLAs that instead of strengthening the party, there is a leadership struggle.

Kavitha, who is observing the party’s situation, is moving her feet to take her own steps, and she also feels that she should look for an alternative in the same path. In this context, it seems that many MLAs who had previously taken a step back are now knocking on the Congress door again.

In fact, most of the current MLAs of BRS are from the Greater Hyderabad area. The GHMC elections are also due by the end of this year. In this context, the said MLAs feel that this is the right time to get out of the car and reach out.

In fact, the Congress came to power with a simple majority in the last assembly elections. With that, KCR, Harish Rao and others repeatedly made statements that the Congress government would soon collapse. With this, the alert Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launched Operation Akarsh. Ten BRS MLAs joined the Congress party.

At that time, the stage was set for the joining of some other MLAs in the state, including Greater. But, the Congress, which had put in its manifesto that membership would be cancelled if they defected, was acting contrary to that, and BRS campaigned at the national level. The Congress high command stopped that process in the wake of the Lok Sabha elections.

However, political sources are analyzing that the MLAs, who are currently confused due to the rift in the KCR family, are now again being attracted to the Congress.
