The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has announced the suspension of MLC Kavitha, daughter of party leader and former CM KCR, from the party. It said that this decision has been taken after taking anti-party activities seriously. To this extent, a statement was issued in the name of BRS General Secretaries Soma Bharatkumar and T. Ravinder Rao.
The letter stated that Kavitha’s recent behavior and ongoing anti-party activities are damaging to BRS, and the high command is taking this matter seriously. It was said that leader KCR has taken the decision to suspend Kavitha from the party. Kavitha has been criticizing BRS for some time now.
She made shocking comments that BRS is going to join BJP. BRS leaders criticized Kavitha for engaging in anti-party activities for some time now. Moreover, after returning from America on Monday, Kavitha’s sensational allegations that former minister Tannir Harish Rao and BRS leader Santosh Rao were the real corrupt in the Kaleshwaram project created a stir in the party.
Meanwhile, the Telangana High Court has ordered that the CBI should not conduct an investigation based on the Justice PC Ghosh report in the Kaleshwaram project case. It has taken up the petition filed by former CM KCR and former minister Harish Rao challenging the Kaleshwaram Commission report.
The AG told the court that the interim petitions filed by KCR and Harish Rao are not maintainable as the state government has decided to hand over the investigation into the Kaleshwaram project to the CBI. The Advocate General said that the Ghosh Commission report has nothing to do with the CBI investigation.
The AG explained to the court that the CBI will conduct an investigation based on the NDSA report. After hearing the arguments, the High Court adjourned the hearing to October 7.
Meanwhile, the state government has written a letter to the Union Home Ministry seeking a recommendation for a CBI investigation based on the NDSA report and a CBI investigation. The letter states that an investigation into the Kaleshwaram dams should be conducted with the CBI.
The state government stated in the letter that the NDSA has identified flaws in the construction of Kaleshwaram. It said that there are flaws in the quality of the planning, design and construction. Justice PC Ghosh’s inquiry committee has also identified flaws. He said that the NDSA report was discussed in the Assembly.
