BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavita has accused the Revanth Reddy government of cheating women. She alleged that the distribution of Christmas gifts, Ramzan Tofa and Bathukamma sarees has gone down the drain during the Congress regime.
After visiting the Medak Church on Christmas eve, Kavitha spoke to the media and slammed the Congress government’s stance. The women were hoping that the CM would announce Rs. 2500 per month for women. They expected that he would announce that he would give a gold coin along with Kalyana Lakshmi. But the government is not thinking about it.
The government owes Rs. 30,000 to each girl child in the state. Scooties have not been given to girls who have completed 18 years. Kavitha demanded that the scooty distribution program be started immediately. Crime has increased by 40 percent in the state.
She lamented that the increase in crime is a testament to the government’s disregard for women. She lamented that the government does not have the will to implement the promises made to women. She warned that the women will not sit idly by and watch and will definitely question it.
She also mentioned that the Congress government has evaded the Rythu Bandhu. She cautioned the state government that it should not try to reduce the number of people eligible under Rythu Bharosa. Kavitha said that even 30 percent of farmers will not get the Rythu Bharosa if the central government’s regulations are implemented.
What happened to the promise that the support price of crops like corn, sorghum, soybean and cotton would be increased? No support price has been given to any crop for a year. When will sugar factories be opened?, she asked.
Kavitha deplored that even after a year of Congress coming to power, ration cards have not been given. She made it clear that ration rice should be distributed to as many people as there are people in the house. She demanded that ration cards be granted immediately.
