Tamil-renowned actor Karthi set ablaze with his stellar performance in the action thriller ‘Sardar’ released in 2022, helmed by P.S. Mithran. The film garnered critical and commercial acclaim alike. With its gripping narrative, the film has left fans eagerly anticipating a sequel.
Today, the makers officially kicked off the film’s shooting with a grand pooja ceremony in Chennai. Karthi’s father and veteran actor Siva Kumar, along with the film’s cast and crew, attended the pooja ceremony conducted by the makers.
Reports indicate that the film’s shooting will commence on July 15. The sequel focuses on the Cambodia mission, as previously revealed in the video.Following the tremendous success of its prequel, ‘Sardar’ emerged as Karthi’s highest-grossing film in his career. Backed by S. Lakshman Kumar under the banner of Prince Pictures, the filmmakers are gearing up to elevate its scale with an even bigger budget.
Yuvan Shankar Raja will compose the music, while George C. Williams handles the film’s cinematography. They will reveal additional cast and crew details soon.
Speaking more about ‘Sardar’, the film stars Karthi in a dual role, and Raashi Khanna portrayed the female lead. The cast includes Bollywood actor Chunky Pandey, Rajisha Vijayan, Laila, Rithvik Jothi Raj, Yog Japee, Munishkanth, and others in supporting roles.
On the professional front, Karthi has a solid lineup of movies, including Kaithi 2, Vaa Vaathiyarey, and Meiyazhagan.
