Amid the nationwide uproar over allegations of adulteration in the Tirumala Laddu prasadam, especially in the Telugu states, a new controversy has emerged. Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan expressed strong displeasure over comments made by actor Karthi regarding the Laddu. Pawan stated that film industry personalities should support Sanatana Dharma, and if not, they should remain silent.
Following this, Karthi issued an apology to Pawan. “Pawan Sir, if anything was misunderstood unintentionally, I sincerely apologize. I have great respect for you,” Karthi said. He also added that, as a devotee of Lord Venkateswara, he always respects traditional customs. Karthi made this clarification via a post on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter).
Karthi’s latest film *Satyam Sundaram* is set to release on the 28th of this month. During its pre-release event held in Hyderabad, the host humorously asked him, “Do you want a laddu?” In response, Karthi, with a smile, remarked, “Let’s not talk about Laddus now, it’s a sensitive topic.” These comments quickly went viral on social media, leading to Pawan’s serious reaction.
