Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has voiced her disappointment over the online commentary and media coverage that followed the physical attack on her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan, earlier this year. In a recent statement, Kareena expressed concern over the lack of empathy and sensitivity displayed by sections of the public and media.
Describing the reactions as “garbage,” Kareena said, “I wasn’t angry, but deeply saddened. Is this the level of humanity we’ve reached? Is this the kind of misinformation people want? Are we now finding joy in someone else’s pain? It was disheartening to see such insensitivity in what we call the digital age.”
She further emphasised the importance of compassion, urging people to not lose sight of human values. “We must not forget our humanity,” she said, addressing the emotional toll such narratives can take on individuals and their families.
