Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar recently shared his thoughts on SS Rajamouli’s films, emphasizing that some movies do not require logical justification. He praised Rajamouli’s ability to craft compelling narratives with strong conviction, making audiences fully believe in the storytelling.
In a recent interview, Johar remarked that great films are often driven by belief rather than logic, citing RRR, Animal, and Gadar as prime examples. He highlighted how filmmakers like Rajamouli, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and Anil Sharma succeed in engaging audiences through conviction rather than strict realism.
“Some films achieve success purely through the director’s confidence in the story. When a filmmaker firmly believes in their narrative, audiences follow suit, without questioning the logic. This is evident in Rajamouli’s films—viewers never focus on logical aspects because he presents his stories with complete conviction.
Whether it’s RRR, Animal, or Gadar, the directors’ unwavering confidence plays a key role in their success. Cinema is about entertainment, and overanalyzing logic serves no purpose,” said Johar.
