Kannappa’s Hindi Satellite Rights Sold for ₹20 Crore Even Before OTT Deal Finalization

Kannappa, a pan-India mythological film, is already making waves well ahead of its release. Starring Manchu Vishnu in the lead role and Preity Mukhundhan as the female lead, the film is being directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and promises to be a visually rich devotional saga.

What’s grabbing headlines now is a massive satellite deal. Even before the OTT rights are officially locked, the Hindi satellite rights of Kannappa have reportedly been sold for an impressive ₹20 crore. The deal was closed with a prominent media agency based in Mumbai — a clear indication of the high expectations surrounding the film.

What makes this even more significant is that this pact is for the Hindi version alone, indicating the huge potential value of the digital and satellite rights of the movie in other languages.

Joining the star power of the film are top pan-India icons such as Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, and Mohanlal, playing key roles. The film is being produced by veteran actor-producer Mohan Babu, with the music scored by talented musician Stephen Devassy.
