Kamareddy BJP MLA Katipally Venkataramana Reddy, who became popular after defeating both the sitting Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and the present Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in last elections, is now seen losing patience firing on the people of Kamareddy.
Presently Kamareddy is facing serious problems due to flash floods. The people there have suffered a lot. They are all asking why their MLA is not helping anywhere? He got angry at these questions. He is asking them how they can come and wash their hands just by voting? He is blaming them for having difficulties without going to a safe place even though they know that floods will come with great confidence.
This MLA’s behavior is becoming controversial. During elections he had won the confidence of the people knowing himself always ready to come to their rescue at the time of difficulties. But now after becoming MLA, his attitude surprises them. Before winning the elections, he used to spend money extravagantly for a long time.
He used to provide personal assistance to the people. That is why he promised during the election campaign that he would spend Rs. 100 crores of his own money to help the people. All this has worked out to make him defeat both KCR and Revanth Reddy. But after winning, he is not able to meet their expectations. Naturally, this is a problem for everyone.
When such high expectations are given, people also expect a lot from them. When they are in trouble, they expect even more. In fact, in the past, with the enthusiasm of winning in Kamareddy, he had also declared that he would be the next Chief Minister of Telangana.
Meanwhile, Congress MLCs, including Vijayasanthi, who visited Kamareddy to console flood affected people lamented the attitude of the local BJP MLA, who is not seen anywhere when people are facing severe difficulties. She said that local people are complaining that their BJP MLA is absconding during this calamity. Vijayasanthi lamented that both BJP and BRS are politicizing even heavy rains and floods, but not ready to come to the rescue of suffering people.
