Kabir Singh actor Shahid Kapoor and our very own Arjun Reddy fame Vijay Deverakonda were recently seen together at an event. The two stars shared a candid moment at the event which is now doing rounds on the internet.
Stepping into the details, the popular OTT platform Prime Video hosted an event in Mumbai on Tuesday. Many celebrities from all over the country attended the event including Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Deverakonda.
The duo shared a candid moment on stage where Shahid pecked a kiss to Vijay on his cheek. The Hindi actor even expressed his gratitude to Devarakonda for his blockbuster film Arjun Reddy. Sharing the same, Shahid said- “I have to give him a lot of love. If Arjun Reddy was not made, then Kabir Singh would not be born. Thank you Vijay”
As we all know Vijay Deverakonda’s 2017 romantic drama Arjun Reddy under Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s direction was one of the best career hits for the Tollywood star as he was even awarded as the Best Telugu Actor in the same year.
Apart from the misogynistic scenes, the film received huge applause from the audiences for its story, screenplay, direction, and others.
The film was remade in other languages including Hindi titled Kabir Singh starring Shahid Kapoor in 2019. The film not only became the second highest-grossing Bollywood film of that year but also went on to become the highest-grossing solo-lead release for Shahid.
On the work front, Shahid Kapoor is currently working on his upcoming film Deva with filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews. As per the sources, Pooja Hegde will be the leading lady in the flick.
Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda is all set for his next film Family Star which is gearing up for the theatrical release on April 5 of this year.
