Jubilant over results of the recent local bodies by-polls, the YSRCP chief and former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has predicted that the YSRCP will definitely come to power in the coming days.
He assured the party ranks that he will be with the workers in Jagan 2.0. Addressing the party ranks at the party central office in Tadepalli on Wednesday, he said that the people are waiting for a government that will stand by its word.
He said that the people want a heart that yearns for them. He said that in the recent by-elections held for the posts of ZP, MPP, Vice MPP, Co-option member and Sub-sarpanch, the ruling party was unable to win in seven places and the elections were postponed.
He said that the elections were held in 50 other places because there was no possibility of postponing them. He said that out of the 50 seats held, the YSRCP won in 39 places. He appreciated that the YSRCP workers showed great courage and won this. He recalled that the TDP does not have the required number of votes to win anywhere.
Even if it does not have the required number of votes to win, he accused that these elections were conducted by misleading, intimidating, agitating, tempting, and using the police to commit atrocities. He was furious that Chandrababu Naidu, who claims to have been the Chief Minister for all these years, really has no intelligence or knowledge.
He was of the opinion that when we do not have the strength in a democracy, someone should be left alone without contesting. But Chandrababu did not do that. “I am the Chief Minister, and since my party is in power… I want every post for myself whether I have the strength or not” such an arrogant attitude was exposed, he added.
Jagan lamented that the coalition parties had deceived the people with 143 promises in the election manifesto and had distributed them by sending their workers to every house. He said that they had won the elections by giving the impression that Chandrababu had sent bonds to everyone.
He accused that if anyone dares to ask what happened to the Super Six and Super Seven that Chandrababu had said after winning, they are trying to silence that voice. Apart from that, he made it clear that Chandrababu is not seen fulfilling those promises or fulfilling the promise he made to the people.
