The hype surrounding War 2 is reaching dizzying heights as Jr. NTR and Hrithik Roshan prepare to face each other in a high-voltage dance battle in this action thriller. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the movie has now reached a critical stage of production, with a lavish song sequence being filmed.
What is so unique about this dance number? To begin with, it has two of Indian cinema’s most energetic performers teaming up for the first time. Choreographed by Bosco Martis, the song is being shot on a grand set at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai, where more than 500 dancers are taking the energy to a whole new level. The sequence will be shot in six days.
The cast has been rehearsing for more than a month to get this perfect, every step of the way. Both Jr. NTR and Hrithik have been put through rigorous training and rehearsals to give one spectacular performance. The producers are keen on bringing to life one of the most memorable dance numbers in Indian cinema.
So far, War 2 has been slated to release on the big screens on August 14, 2025, right in time for an Independence Day weekend release. But so far, there is no word on this from Yash Raj Films. According to industry sources, the release dates are not going to change but the word finally comes from the producer Aditya Chopra.
With Devara being Jr. NTR’s penultimate film before a short sabbatical, his fans can’t wait to catch him in War 2. Early buzz was that his character could have dark shades, but the producers have explained that though his character is intense, it has a strong positive track. The biggest plus point, however, is the high-octane clash between Jr. NTR and Hrithik Roshan, which is likely to be one of the film’s highlights.
The promotional campaign for War 2 is expected to kick off in full swing once the release date is officially locked. As a pan-India release, the film is being positioned as one of the biggest cinematic spectacles of 2025, catering to audiences across languages and regions.
